Description: Waiting for your purchase is this pretty little cup and saucer set that was made in JAPAN. I believe this is a demitasse set. It is made of high quality porcelain material, possibly bone china, and trimmed in gold. The cup and saucer are white with small blue flowers and gold star-like flowers for decoration. Gold trims the edge of the saucer and cup, plus the cup has a gold ring around its base and a stripe along its tiny, ear-shaped handle. On bottom is the red mark, a laurel wreath with a clover design inside. The word "Japan" is underneath the wreath. I believe the set dates to the occupied period, although it is not specifically marked as such, circa 1948-52.

Measurement: The saucer measures 4 3/4 inches across in diameter. The cup stands 2 1/2 inches tall and measures 2 1/2 inches across the top opening.

Condition: Great vintage condition, very minor wear, no chips or cracks, 2 small black specks (one on saucer, one on cup)-both are under the glaze and done in manufacture
