Vintage LUSTER WARE LUSTREWARE Child's Tea Cup and Saucer Made in JAPAN 1940s Red Flower

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this charming vintage cup and saucer set that was made in Japan, circa late 1940's-50's. It is child-size--just right for dolly's afternoon tea! I believe this set is made of bone china. It is very thin and you can see through it when you hold it up to the light. Gold lustre trims the rim of the plate and cup and accents the cup handle. A floral design enhances both cup and saucer. The cup has a wine red and a blue flower with green leaves; the saucer has only the red flower and leaves. The set is unmarked, but it is definitely Japanese made. The suacer measures 3 3/4 inches across in diameter, and the cup stands 1 1/2 inches tall. It is 2 inches wide across the top. This is a pretty little set for dolly or display.

Condition: EXCELLENT vintage condition--no chips or cracks--has a couple of flaws that were done during its manufacture--white drip or glob of glaze on saucer and black speck, probably sand, under the glaze ---cup is slightly misshapen
