Description: Waiting for your purchase is this beautiful oval casserole with lid from MOUNT CLEMENS POTTERY in JAPAN. It is made of a high quality porcelain material. It is white inside and out except for the outer design of red, purple, and yellow groups of 3 tulips that repeat all over the outside of the casserole and lid. A narrow band of light green encircles the casserole rim. The casserole has two open tab handles and the lid has a open oval knob that echoes the oval shape of the casserole. On the very bottom is the maker's mark stamped in black. It says "MOUNT CLEMENS POTTERY .....YOURS FROM THE GOOD EARTH...MADE IN JAPAN". I do not know the baking/food requirements of the item, and they are not listed. I would avoid using it on top of the stove or over open flame--oven use only. It would be lovely as a serving piece for the table.

Measurement: Stands 4 1/2 inches high (6 if you include the knob). It measures almost 9 1/2 inches long, not including the handles. It is 6 1/4 inches wide across the top.
