Vintage SHENANGO RESTAURANT CHINA Small Gravy Boat RIMROL WELROC 1930S

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this lovely little individual gravy boat from the SHENANGO CHINA CO. of New Castle, Pennsylvania. It is made of high quality pottery material and well done. I believe it was made as restaurantware in the 1930's. If so, this one didn't see much, if any use, because it is in perfect condition. The gravy is a soft beige color and the design of what I think is Greek key is done in an old gold or ochre color. There is vertical ribbing around the boat just above the design, so this looks sort of like a Greek column, in a way. The design is also along the back of the pointed ear shaped handle, and a goldish line of trim has been applied to the top rim of the item. On bottom is the maker's mark, stamped on in green. An Indian or NativeAmerican is holding a piece of pottery. Below this it says "Shenango China New Castle, Pa. USA RIMROL WELROC---the trademark sign....X18". This is a beautiful little addition to your service or collection.

Measurement: The gravy boat measures 6 inches from back of handle to tip of spout. It is just slightly over 2 1/2 inches wide, and it stands 2 3/4 inches tall at the highest point.

Condition: EXCELLENT---no chips or cracks--no problems at all--lovely condition, very minor wear
