Vintage HOLLY HOBBIE Love is the Little Things You Do Ceramic Oval Plate Plaque 1973 Made in Japan

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this charming HOLLY HOBBIE porcelain plaque from 1973. The plaque is made of a high quality porcelain type material, and it was made in Japan. If you grew up in the 1970's, you just had to have Holly Hobbie items! Holly Hobbie was a young girl from an earlier time, and dozens of items were made during those years that showed her and her friends in various activities---there were paper doll books, ornaments, dolls, plaques such as this, and many more. Here we see a tiny girl giving a flower to an older girl, and the theme is "Love is the little things you do". There were also many items made in those years with a "love is" theme, and this item combines the two. The plaque is oval and rounded outward, not flat. It is trimmed in gold around the edge. This plaque has its original hanger on back, but I would recommend replacing it with one more sturdy, as the heart-shaped sticky material is rather brittle and curling up. The original gold foil sticker is on the back. The plaque is in very good vintage condition.

Measurement: 6 inches up and down--41/2 inches across

Condition: very very good--picture is still perfect, gold fine, hanger should be replaced, and has a tiny rough area at the bottom edge--more a nibble than a bite, really--but wanted to mention it--didn't even see it until I ran my hand over the edges to write this
