Vintage OCCUPIED JAPAN Figurine German Style Boy Hiker 1950s Mid Century

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this sweet figurine from OCCUPIED JAPAN of a hiker boy. The figurine was made of a nice quality porcelain material and hand painted. He is made in the "Hummel" style to compete with German porcelain of the day. The young boy carries a long walking stick, and wears a taupe-colored hat. His shorts are black, his shirt yellow, his coat green, and his socks blue. His brown shoes match his brown knapsack (which amazes me because whoever painted this tried to make it appear as if there are individual items inside the sack! This fellow was a true artist who was just in a hurry, or perhaps he only painted the sack and other details were done by others on an assembly line.) His hair is blonde, and he wears an orangey scarf tied around his neck. His facial features are cherubic with pink cheeks. On the very bottom is stamped the "made in Occupied Japan" mark in black lettering. He would make a terrific addition to your collection.

Measurement: The figurine stands about 4 1/2 inches tall and is just slightly over 1 1/2 inches wide at the base.

Condition: Great vintage condition, very minor wear, no chips or cracks, some very minor paint loss
