Vintage LOBSTER Shaped Bowl Dish POTTERY Seafood Coastal Figural

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this charming LOBSTER shaped dish. It is made of good quality pottery material and glazed in a light creamy beige color. You can see the ribbing, head, eyes, and other parts of the lobster raised into the dish. There is no maker's mark that I can find...the item probably once had a paper label that has been removed. You could eat your lobster for one in style with this dish. It could also make a neat soap dish for guest soaps in a nautical bathroom decor. Perhaps it could hold souvenir matches in a seafood restaurant. The uses are endless! This is a very nice item and in great vintage condition.

Measurement: The dish measures 10 3/4 inches long and 4 1/4 inches wide. it stands about 1 1/2 inches tall.

Condition: EXCELLENT--no chips or cracks or stains--has 4 tiny black dots about the size of a speck of pepper on one side. These are under the glaze and were done at the time of manufacturing. I believe this was where the item sat on a wire tripod in the kiln when it was fired. They are natural to the item.
