Nice Vintage HORCHOW Cigarette Card Porcelain Box Made in JAPAN Purple Orange Blue Flowers

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this lovely porcelain box for either playing cards or cigarettes. It was made in Japan by HORCHOW. The box is extremely well done. The porcelain material is a clean white, inside and out. The decoration is also very pretty. There are blue, mauve, and orangey red flowers with dark green stems and leaves on the lid, and buds of these same flowers wind around, vinelike, the sides of the box. A red line along the bottom of the box is echoed in an oval shape on the lid top. I think the design is applied by transfer (decal), but it is raised so that you can actually feel a rim around some of the petals in the flowers. Thus, it is possibly hand painted. The full maker's mark is on the bottom of the box. Inside, the box has a divider down the middle for separating two decks of cards. I believe this box could also be used for cigarettes or just as a large trinket box, as well. It is in excellent condition.

Measurement: the box is 5 3/4 inches long at the edge of the lid...it is just over 4 1/4 inches wide.....it is 2 1/4 inches tall..........holds 2 average size decks of cards (not included)
