Description: Waiting for your purchase is this beautiful Japanese Lustreware Teapot. I believe this was made in Japan c. 1920's-30's. The body of the teapot is done in gold lustreware, which is a shiny pearlescent glaze. Spout, handle, and lid knob are done in blue lustre glaze. A lovely design featuring a bluebird with yellow breast and large flowers is hand painted on the front of the teapot. on the very bottom of the pot is the word "Japan" in black lettering. The handle is squared ear-shape. This gives the teapot something of a modern or deco look. The teapot will hold about 2 cups. It is in fabulous condition!
