Description: Waiting for your purchase is this wonderful vintage GRAVY SEPARATOR, which was made in 1950's era Japan. The separator is made of a quality porcelain material. It is nicely shaped with a comfortable handle with a hole for hanging it up. Each side of the bowl has a spout, so you can tilt it one way for HEAVY gravy and the other for LEAN. The lean side has a tube to block out large pieces of meat, etc., so the gravy is "lean". The bowl is sized to hold well over a cup, perhaps two. Lean gravy and heavy gravy are printed in black on the appropriate sides. The words "no drip gravy separator" is printed in black on the handle top. There are carrots, beets and various vegetable designs. They appear hand-painted, but are probably transfer designs.
