Description: Waiting for your purchase is this pretty vintage dish or planter from the HULL POTTERY CO. Hull Pottery began in 1905 in Crooksville, Ohio and had many successful, productive years. It is famed for its Little Red Riding Hood pottery line, its art pottery, its dishware lines, and its florist wares, such as this dish or planter. High production costs and competition from Asian markets took their toll on almost all of the famous American potteries, Hull, included. It finally closed its doors in 1985 and ceased production. Now, all Hull lines are in great demand and are very collectible. The shape of this lovely piece reminds me of a coffee filter! It is a creamy white color and has a satiny feel. The sides are crimped or scalloped and rise elegantly from a low circular foot. It was probably meant as a planter, but I see this one more as a chic decor piece. It is smart enough to be used as a candy or nut dish, perhaps even with some fruit. Its elegant simplicity could allow this one to be used right on the table, as a serving or centerpiece. Its color and modern design will allow it to fit right into almost any decor. The full Hull mark is on the bottom of the planter (see photos): Hull USA B 6.

Condition: Great vintage condition, no chips or cracks, minor stain in the bottom
