Description: Waiting for your purchase is this lovely vintage celluloid ART DECO hand mirror. It was probably once part of a vanity set. Celluloid is a very early form of plastic, and it is highly vunerable to cracking. However, this mirror has survived in great shape without any cracking since the 1920's or 30's. It does have some brownish discolored areas which remind me of old makeup stains. Perhaps someone had makeup on her hands and then held the mirror. At least this is what it looks like to me. The mirror has dramatic Deco style design on back which frames a small silhouette of a lady with her mirror. The oval-shaped mirror itself is in very good condition, no cracks, but has a few very tiny "age spots" where the silvering has flaked off.
The pretty light blue color is unusual in mirrors like this, and the Deco styling makes this a very desirable item.

Measurement: almost 14 inches long x 5 inches across mirror part is 5 1/2 inches tall and 3 3/4 inches wide

Condition: as described above ----has some minor dimpling at very tip of handle--looks like pet teeth marks--------overall good vintage condition
