Description: Waiting for your purchase is this pretty pottery planter. It was made in the USA in the 40's-50's era, but I cannot read the maker. The white glaze is so thick on the bottom that it obscures the incised name. I do know that it is vintage pottery. I have collected pottery for many years and you can just tell by feel and look after a while. The planter is white, inside and out. It has a pedestal base with rounded pad "feet" on each side. It has a faux bois or false wood design that goes all around the planter and there are raised mushrooms on one end of each side. In recent years there has been a trend for all white decorating. This would be a dream piece for that style. It would make a lovely centerpiece for a table, most especially for a wedding table. I think it would look just great with 3 small pots of herbs in it (fill the base with gravel for drainage). I will leave the mystery of the maker up to you. I cannot say it is McCoy, Hull, Shawnee, or any specific maker. I think it is possibly UPCO or perhaps Uhl, but I can't say for certain. It is marked, with incised lettering. But, the glaze was applied very thickly, so all I can really see is a bubbly area.

Measurement: It is 4 1/2 inches tall. It measures approximately 9 inches in length and is 4 1/2 inches wide across the opening.

Condition: Great vintage condition, very minor wear, no chips or cracks
