Cute Vintage HONEY BEAR HONEY POT JAR Made in Japan BEEHIVE Bees With Spoon

Description: Waiting for you purchase is this charming vintage honey pot or jar with an attached honey bear figurine. This jar is post war Japan, and is marked on bottom with a blue and white paper sticker that says MADE IN JAPAN. The jar is made of a nice quality ceramic material and very detailed in design. The large bee hive or skep appears to be made of straw, and you can see individual rows of straw and the stitches to hold them together. The jar is what I would call "honey" brown or a matte mustard color. Bees crawl all over the jar and have darker brown bodies. The attached bear is hilarious. His eyes are crossed, looking inward at a bright red spot on his nose, where apparently his foraging for the honey merited him a painful sting. A plastic honey spoon is included. This one would make a super start or addition to your own honey pot collection. It is even nice as just a happy bit of whimsy for your table.

Measurement: The pot stands about 5 inches tall. It measures 5 inches long and 3 inches wide.

Condition: Great vintage condition, very minor wear
