Description: Waiting for your purchase is this fun vintage game made by the 3M Company of St. Paul, MN. It is dated 1965 and is called a Bookshelf game because it can be placed on the shelf like a book ~ one side resembles a book! They made other games in this series and they all could be placed on the shelf to look like books.
From the back of the box:
"High-Bid is a fascinating and fast-moving new table game that rivals the action, excitement and money-making thrills of a real auction! Competition is keen as two to four players try to outbid (and outbluff) one another in an attempt to complete valuable collections of antiques and objects d'art. High Bid appeals to collectors, auction-hounds, and gamesters of all ages. Average playing time per game is 45 minutes. Handsome Bookshelf case contains game board, property cards, buyer's cards, special dice, play money and instructions."
The game appears to have all the pieces, the playing board, cards, money, instructions etc.
Measurement: measures approx. 11 3/4" x 8 1/2"; 2" wide
Condition: Great vintage condition, scuffing to exterior box, one corner of the box is torn (probably could be repaired with glue)
