Vintage Light OLIVE GREEN Pottery PLANTER Leaf Design SP Mid Century Made in USA

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this sweet little vintage planter. It is made of a good quality pottery material and has a pleasing light olive green glaze. The edges are scalloped and wavy. There is the raised design of a leaf or plant on front and back. This is a smaller planter, measuring 6 1/4 inches long and 3 3/4 inches wide. It stands 2 1/2 inches tall. It is in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks or crazing. On the bottom is the maker's mark, but it is so heavily glazed that all I can make out is a large "SP" at the beginning. I thought of Shawnee Pottery, Sebring Pottery, even Southern Pottery, but I cannot really say who made it. These mid century planters are great in any decor, and have many uses besides as planters. They can be a place to put your keys as you come in the door so you will always know where they are. They can also hold mail, remotes for the tv or stereo. This one would even be cute as a candy dish!
