Vintage ANCHOR HOCKING Soup Cereal Glass BOWL Set of 3 Red Green Milk Glass Mid Century

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this terrific set of 3 vintage ANCHOR HOCKING glass soup-cereal-ice cream bowls. The set includes 2 red bowls and 1 green one. Anchor Hocking also made Fireking, and these remind me of that line. They are also similar to Pyrex ware. I believe these date to the 1950's or 60's. They are made of a white milk-glass type and have had their colors pyro-ed on the outsides, meaning the colors are fired on and won't rub or wash off with normal use. I do always recommend hand washing for any vintage glassware, however, to preserve the brightness of the colors. Each bowl measures 2 inches tall and they are almost 5 inches across the top. As well as the uses listed above, they would also be nice for chili or a small salad. They would be very colorful in a retro decor. The full maker's mark is embossed on the bottom of each bowl. It says they are "oven-proof", meaning you could use them to heat something INSIDE an oven. NEVER use a glass item on top of the stove. The number "310" is also found on the bottoms of the bowls.
