Description: Waiting for your purchase is this great old advertising tin from WARRENTON RUM CAKES. This was a Nashville, Tenn. business. This tin is an eagerly sought black collectible because it features a black waiter or servant on the lid. The man wears a red coat and blue pants. He is an older man because his hair is white. His shoes are brown. He is carrying a hefty tray of steaming food. The artwork for the tin is by MARY CLEMMITT. The tin is round, measuring 7 inches in diameter across. It is white with the decoration on the lid. Around the side of the lid, in red lettering, it says "Ingredients: Cake Flour, Egg Whites, Sugar, Starch, Leavening, Salt, Flavoring, Margarine, Rum, and Pecans". Next, it says, "Warrenton, Ltd. Box 40019 Nashville, Tennessee 37204--28 cakes, 15 oz." The tin is in good vintage condition. It dates to the late 1960's or 70's.
