Vintage Anchor Hocking FIRE KING MILK GLASS Divided Relish Dish 3 Sections Gold Trim 1950s

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this nice vintage FIRE KING divided 3-section relish dish. It is made of a pearly white milk glass and trimmed around the top edge with gold. This type of glass was popular during mid century and used for entertaining and taking to church suppers, etc. Often, it contained pickles of various kinds; perhaps today it could be used for crudites. The dish is essentially oval shaped with two tab handles. The center is bowed out and is the widest section. Small dots or beads, bigger on the handles, adorn the top edge of the dish. On bottom is the raised round maker's mark "Oven Fire-King Ware Made in USA". The dish is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. The only problem is that the gold trim is worn on one side. This shows that the dish has been well used! If desired, perhaps you could take the dish to the craft or hardware store and get some food safe gold paint and restore it, but I will leave that to the buyer. This is a great old dish, very elegantly designed, and a must for a vintage collection.

Measurement: The dish measures 11 inches long from handle to handle. It is 7 1/2 inches wide across at the widest point.
