Vintage SALT & PEPPER SHAKERS Sack of Salt Pepper Ceramic MADE IN JAPAN Country Farmhouse

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this adorable set of vintage salt and pepper shakers. They are made of a good quality ceramic material and are shaped as sacks. They are painted brown and glazed to a high sheen. One sack says "Sack of Salt" and has 2 holes on top for pouring. The other has "Sack of Pepper" and has 3 shaker holes.
The detail of these shakers is exceptional---you can actually feel the nubby texture of the "sack". Each sack is tied with a molded on rope on which you can feel the links. The sacks are pulled tightly closed by the ropes, and each sack puckers in the back around the neck where it's been tied----amazing detail. This set was done by some of Japan's finest artisans, surely. Each shaker has the copyright mark and the number 3805 stamped on the bottom. They stand about 3 1/2 inches tall.

Measurement: each measures about 3 1/2 inches tall. They are 2 3/4 inches across the bottom at the widest part.
