Vintage FINKSTROM FOR CENTRUM Golf Collector Plate Set of 4 Golfing Humor

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this charming set of 4 small plates (6.5 inch diameter) featuring the cartoon artwork of FINKSTROM. The theme of the plates is GOLF, and these would make a perfect gift for your favorite golfer. The plates were made in China for CENTRUM. They are made of a very nice quality porcelain material and are well-glazed and decorated. Each has a different cartoon, but all are about the game of GOLF. One has a fellow wearing a scuba mask and up to his chest in deep blue water. He is holding a golf ball and the caption says "MAY YOUR BALL ALWAYS LIE IN GREEN PASTURES...NOT IN STILL WATERS." This plate has a yellow line around the outer edge. The second plate shows a golfer walking by and reading a posted notice. The notice says "WARNING! IF YOU DRINK, DON'T DRIVE...BETTER YET, DON'T EVEN PUTT!" This plate has a blue line around the edge. The third plate shows a chubby fellow at the first tee. He is holding the club to his face as if in prayer. The caption reads "HIT IT RIGHT...IT'S A SLICE. HIT IT LEFT...IT'S A HOOK. HIT IT STRAIGHT..IT'S A MIRACLE!" This one has a red line around the edge. And, the fourth plate shows a hatted duffer in the woods. The caption reads "I'M HITTING THE WOODS JUST GREAT....THE PROBLEM IS GETTING OUT OF THEM." This plate has a green rim. All 4 plates are in excellent condition with no chips or scratches. Get this cute set for that golfer on your list.

Measurement: Each plate measures about 6 1/2 inches in diameter. They are all the same size although my photo makes them look bigger or smaller--it is just the angle.
