Vintage SANDRA BOYNTON Everything Under Control MUG Made in Japan Turkey

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this charming mug designed by the noted artist, SANDRA BOYNTON, and made by RECYCLED PAPER PRODUCTS in JAPAN. The mug is made of a good quality ceramic material. It is in excellent condition. Mrs. Boynton is known for her animal characters, very comedic and just slightly whacko. They always made me smile. Here we see a turkey, dressed in blue pants, white shirt, and athletic shoes. Only one thing wrong----one shoe is atop his head, worn as a hat! The turkey has a huge yellow beak and red wattle and tail feathers. On the other side of the mug, UPSIDE DOWN, are the black-lettered words "DON'T WORRY--I'VE GOT EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL." Clearly, the turkey does not have things under control! Just below his feet to the right is the Boynton signature. On the bottom of the mug is the round maker's mark done in black lettering. Boynton mugs are very popular and highly collectible. This one is designed to make you laugh, or at least contemplate the state of yourself! It's a very nice one for a collection.

Measurement: The mug stands about 3 3/4 inches tall and measures 3 1/2 inches across at the top opening. It will hold 8 ounces of liquid.
