Description: Waiting for your purchase is this lovely vintage scenic picture. It measures 6 inches in diameter across and it is in a round shape. The outer gold colored metal frame encases a piece of domed or convex glass. This glass has a black silhouette border painted on in reverse, and there is a squiggly line of white scroll border at the outer and at the inner edge. Two other narrow lines of white also ring the center area. Inside the center is a scene of a pretty river with people walking down a road that meanders alongside the water. The inner scene is somewhat irridescent or shiny. Its colors seem to change when you move the picture. The river seems to shimmer. It has a tiny ridge to it, so I believe it is made of cloth or a kind of tapestry where the threads have been woven to make the picture. There is no indication where the scene is supposed to be or what it represents. There is also no maker's mark anywhere on the picture. I have not taken it apart to check for marks. The back has a hard canvas board upon which is a metal loop hanger.

Measurement: The picture measures 6 inches across in diameter.

Condition: EXCELLENT--vintage condition--no cracks in glass--outer frame shiny, although it does not quite meet at the bottom--it has been stapled together, but I believe this was done at the time of manufacture. Whoever made it just underestimated the size and then tried to made it usable. There is a line in the picture itself, and this appears to be a wrinkle in the material--oddly it appears to be a tornado on the land if you look at it just right.

The images in the black part are just reflection and camera glare.
