Vintage Orange LUSTER WARE LUSTREWARE Vase 1940s Hand Painted Made in JAPAN Pagoda Flowers

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this lovely vintage vase that was MADE IN JAPAN. It probably dates to the late 1940's. It is made of a good quality porcelain type material and is decorated in a gold lustre glaze. The vase has a flattened circular shape, with a white area on front and back. The front has a sprig of tree limb with pink flowers and berries, perhaps cherry blossoms over a green, red, and yellow pagoda-like building. There is a puffy yellow under the building, perhaps a cloud or meant as soil. Green plants flank the building. The pictured area is outlined in black. On back, the corresponding area is plain white, outlined in black, and has only a single tree limb with one pink flower and some red berries. The vase stands 5 1/2 inches tall. There are two handles on the shoulders of the vase that give it an odd look, and the base is flared outward. On bottom is a circular red maker's mark with a red bird in the center. Around the bird, it says "hand painted" and "made in Japan".
