Vintage BERGGREN TRAYNER Tile CHEESE Board 1963 HAPPINESS Scandinavian Folk Art

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this stunning Swedish modern cheese board featuring a BERGGREN tile, with the motto "HAPPINESS IS CATCHING". The tile is copyrighted with the date 1963 by BERGGREN TRAYNER CORP. The tile is 6 inches square and is decorated with a quaint scene of musicians playing, people dancing and a young boy climbing a tree. The tile is done in colors of red, yellow, blue, and dark blue. Above the group are the words "Happiness Is Catching", and below it says "We Get It From One Another". The tile is inset into a 9 inch square wooden board with a stylized handle. I do not know what type wood this is, but it is very smooth, rich looking, and well done. There is a hole in the end of the handle so the board could be hung on the wall as a decoration. The board has light grey felt material on the back so the board can be used flat on a table without scraping.
