Vintage 1966 Presidents United States Porcelain ASHTRAY MCM Chadwick Miller Made in Japan LBJ

Description: Waiting for your purchase is this great vintage ashtray, featuring portraits of the Presidents of the United States from George Washington through Lyndon B. Johnson. It is dated 1966 on back and bears the mark of CHADWICK-MILLER IMPORTERS. It was made in Japan. The ashtray has places for 8 cigarettes and these slots are trimmed in gold, as are the inner and outer rims of the dish. In the very center of the dish is a circle of red and blue alternating stars which encircle an eagle bearing a flag shield and clutching an olive branch in one tallon and a group of arrows in the other--the olive branch symbolizes peace and the arrows, war. The US motto "E Pluribus Unum" is also shown on the eagle. This is a terrific item for a political collection.

Measurement: The ashtray measures 7 1/2 inches across in diameter.

Condition: GREAT VINTAGE CONDITION---no chips or cracks on top area of dish--does have one chip on the very bottom rim--this does not show up when dish is sitting or placed on a wall in a hanger. There is some gentle wear to the gold trim along the rim, nothing major. See photo of back of dish.
