Description: Waiting for your purchase is this beautiful porcelain souvenir mug or stein representing CHATEAU DE CHILLON in SWITZERLAND. The castle or fortress is Switzerland's most visited historic monument and is located between Lake Geneva and the Alps. The site has been occupied since the Bronze Age and has over 1000 years of history. The fortress was strategically located to control passage between northern and southern Europe.
The mug is made of fine porcelain by OTTLINGER SEVELEN--noted maker of porcelain in St. Moritz.
The mug is very pretty and quite well done. On front is a colored depiction of the Chateau with the rugged Alps in the background and the lake in front. The words "Chateau Chillon" are printed below in black lettering. A wide gold band trims the mouth of the mug. On the very bottom of the mug is stamped in gold lettering "OTTLINGER SEVELEN".

Measurement: The mug stands just slightly under 4 inches tall and measures 2 1/2 inches across the bottom.
